YAKIMA, Wash. – East Kentucky Miner Josh Pace led the American Conference All-Stars in scoring with 19 points in the CBA All-Star Classic held Tuesday, Jan. 22. In front over 4,000 fans, Pace and his American Conference teammates battled the National Conference All-Stars in a close contest. Under the guidance of Yakama Coach Paul Woolpert, the National Conference prevailed 109-107.
East Kentucky Miner James “Boo” Jackson led the American Conference in the rebounding department. Jackson, who leads the CBA in double-doubles, pulled down an American Conference-best eight rebounds.
Mike Dean, a newcomer to the East Kentucky professional basketball franchise, also played for the American Conference All-Star team.
East Kentucky (16-13) will remain in Washington for a two-game series versus host Yakama (23-1).
CBA frontrunner Yakama will host East Kentucky Friday, Jan. 25-Saturday, Jan. 26 for a pair of non-conference games.
Tip-off for both of the East Kentucky-Yakama games is set for 7:35 p.m.
