Miners activate Crain, waive Horton

PIKEVILLE, KY. – The East Kentucky Miners activated guard Mike Crain Thursday prior to beginning a two-game road series versus Continental Basketball Association (CBA) frontrunner Yakama. East Kentucky – in another roster move – waived guard Ed Horton.

Crain went on the injured reserve prior to the CBA All-Star Classic in Yakama. He has been a proven performer for East Kentucky, one of four CBA expansion teams.

Crain is averaging 11.2 points per game and has made 23-of-51 three-point field goal attempts. The former Valdosta State University standout has played in 26 games for the Miners, making 22 starts. Crain is expected to make a speedy recovery and quick return to the East Kentucky lineup.
