Dance Etc. students perform at Miners home game

PIKEVILLE, KY. – Dance Etc. Studio of Dance squads performed on the East Kentucky Expo Center hardwood Sunday when the Miners hosted the Minot SkyRockets in a CBA non-conference matchup. The Dance Etc. squads, under the direction of Jody Shepherd, entertained Miners fans during numerous timeouts.

The Diamond Girls, official dance team of the East Kentucky Miners, includes more than one Dance Etc. Studio of Dance alumnus.

In an exciting contest, Minot edged East Kentucky 106-104. The SkyRockets won the quarter points 5.5-1.5.

Martin County All-Star Mega Cheer will perform at the next Miners home game on Friday, Feb. 29 when East Kentucky hosts National Conference member Oklahoma. East Kentucky and Oklahoma are both CBA expansion teams.

The Miners are working towards an appearance in the CBA Playoffs. East Kentucky has three regular-season home games remaining on its schedule: Thursday, Feb. 28 – Oklahoma, 7:05 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 29 – Oklahoma, 7:05 p.m.; Sunday, March 2 – Atlanta, 4:05 p.m.

Various tickets remain available for the final three home games in the East Kentucky professional basketball team’s inaugural season.
